Ten Card Spreads • The Celtic Cross - (The Standard By Which Many Other Spreads are Measured) When consulting the Tarot, selecting the right Tarot spread is just as important as choosing the right question. Tarot Spreads organize and guide both reader and client in addressing specific types of issues. As you think about your spiritual, material, emotional, social, relational, and wellness concerns, very different images and symbols are brought to your conscious and subconscious minds, therefore, it only makes sense that these aspects of your life would require different approaches when seeking answers. My experience is that the size or number of cards required by a spread is not necessarily the best indicator of a spread's effectiveness. Many readers and scholars believe that it is the intent, energy, and symbolism behind a spread and it's influence upon the reader's subconscious that matters most. For this reason, I have carefully assembled a selection of highly symbolic Tarot spreads. Each of these spreads hold special significance to me. Each is specifically targeted to address various aspects of your life. |
The What and Why Spread is helpful in providing you guidance on a very specific question,
decision, or topic. The position (upright or reversed) can help
indicate the likelihood for success or failure. The card itself will tell
you why. |

This traditional spread provides you insight into past, present, and future influences
at work. When you are undergoing an important transition (new romance,
new job, or a new role in life) and want solid ground to stand on in the future,
this is the spread for you. This spread can be used to provide timing
information on "When" something is likely and "Why". Card One - The Past - Past influences that may or may not be passing away. Card Two - The Present - What is occurring today. Your or others influences upon your concerns. Card Three - The Future - Likely influences coming into play . |

This spread helps you with the "How to" part of a situation or problem. It does so by addressing your thoughts, deeds, and what is revealed to others about the problem or situation. This spread is full of information on "How" you can proceed. Card One - Your thoughts on the matter. Remember that one's thoughts are the energy used to cause change. Card Two - The deeds that you need to conduct. The vehicle, intervention, or agency required for change to occur. Card Three - The likely outcome or result. Sometimes it also indicates what is known or being said (Word) by others about the situation. |

This spread provides you insight into an event or decision and its likely outcome. It does so by addressing your perceptions, offers insight and advice on how to address change, and points to a likely outcome. This is a great spread when attempting to understand, cope, influence or adapt to an impending event or decision. Card One - Present Circumstances - Your thoughts on the Present Situation. Card Two - What you need to know. Advice that can help. Card Three - The likely outcome if circumstances continue as they have been proceeding. |
